Bass drum is birch, toms are mahogany, all with walnut veneer in satin finish. The hardware is all from a 30 year old APK and as such has a bit of pitting, but I’ve given it all a good polish as well as my limited restoring talent has allowed.
Needs a batter head for the bass drum – I nicked it for another kit. I put a reso on the batter side so the hoop was on for the photo…
It was originally drilled incorrectly, and at the advice of Tee Drums I drilled through some of the lug holes with the correct size bit. However some were left a fraction too big so some lugs have a little play in them until tightened up. I haven’t found this a problem at all, just full disclosure and all that.
