    I was massively influenced by Jim Gordon. He first came to my attention with Traffic, then I worked my way back in time and discovered that like Hal Blaine he was on all these records I’d been hearing for years, but didn’t know who the drummer was. He was everywhere. I ‘borrowed’ a lot from Jim Gordon.
    Every so often I check to see if he’s been released, but there doesn’t seem much chance of that happening.
    I’ve followed his career so I know the story, but there’s a lot of drummers who’ve never heard of him, which is a pity as there’s much to be learned there.
