Further to my earlier enquiry about speccing out a new kit, it’s possible that I may be able to actually fund the thing, and so some research now needs to be done in earnest.
Ideally this will involve many trips to drum shops!

For years I used to buy my stuff from DrumWright out Woodley way, but sadly they are no more. Are there any shops in the London / South East area that members would recommend? I’ve been to the Wembley Drum Centre once or twice but never really clicked with the place (although to be fair I haven’t been there for years). I bought a Roland kit and some PA gear from Andertons last summer, and that seemed to be pretty good, so I’ll probably go back there. Just wondered if there were any other shops around that I might not have thought about that are worth investigating.

For ref, I’m looking for a shell pack, and it’ll be ‘the last kit I ever buy’, i.e. decent spec, and I’ll want to order it as I want control over shell sizes and colour rather than choosing from what’s in stock.

Graham Russell Drums in Fareham, Hampshire are a decent business with a wide selection of drums available. They also have a decent website for ordering the things that you don’t need to hear such as stands.
